Mifflin County Busted Mugshots is a private reference service, not a government office. We cannot verify a person’s current custody or release, post bail, release someone, or retrieve an official booking record. Direct those questions to the responsible public office below.
Official Mifflin County Routes
Choose the office or lookup based on the type of information needed. The county’s official inmate-lookup instructions lead to statewide court and custody tools, rather than a county-hosted live roster or booking-photo page.
- Mifflin County Sheriff and courthouse: 20 N Wayne St, Lewistown, PA 17044; 717-242-1105; Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Use the Sheriff’s official page for the agency’s current details.
- Mifflin County Correctional Facility and Central Booking: 103 W Market St, Lewistown, PA 17044; 717-248-1130. MCCF is the county detention and booking location. Its official lookup instructions direct visitors to UJS and VINELink.
- Public court activity: search the Pennsylvania UJS Case Search for public docket information and later case events. A court docket is not a live custody confirmation.
- Custody or release notifications: check VINELink when a qualifying record is available. It is a status-notification channel, not a booking-photo database.
- County records request: Mifflin County’s Open Records Officer is Michael R. Baker, 20 N Wayne St, Lewistown, PA 17044, 717-248-6733, fax 717-248-3695, mbaker@mifflincountypa.gov. The county’s Right-to-Know policy calls for a written, specific, non-anonymous request with a name and mailing address. Inspections are available weekdays from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.; standard copies cost $0.25 per page, certification costs $1, specialized media and postage are charged at actual cost, and the policy lists no redaction fee. The agency generally responds in five business days or sends a 30-day extension notice. An appeal to the Pennsylvania Office of Open Records is due within 15 business days when applicable.
- Criminal-file or bail questions: contact the Mifflin County Prothonotary at 717-248-8146. Its listed bail-posting hours are Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.
- State, federal, and immigration custody: use the Pennsylvania Department of Corrections locator for state-sentenced people, the Federal Bureau of Prisons locator for federal custody, or the ICE detainee locator for immigration custody. These systems do not replace an MCCF booking inquiry.
The home guide explains the county-wide record path, and Wanted Fugitives explains the limits of Mifflin County’s publicly located warrant material. Charges at booking are accusations; follow the court case for a later disposition.
